[Coral-List] Red Sea Summer Program (KAUST)

Dear all, 

The King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST: http://www.kaust.edu.sa/) is pleased to announce that it will again host the Red Sea Summer Program in 2016, building on the popularity of the program in 2015. 

The three-week program will expose students to several aspects of Red Sea reef science, including genomics, ecology, biological oceanography, and microbiology. The course includes fieldwork, labwork, lectures, and data workshops. 

Successful applicants will receive full funding for travel, private bedroom and bath in shared residential suite, academic credit, and a stipend for a three-week period of study at KAUST from 22 July to 12 August, 2016. There are no fees associated with the course. 

Current undergraduates and Master’s students, as well as recent graduates from these levels, are eligible to apply. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in core biological sciences, preferably also with at least one specialized course, such as ecology, zoology, genetics, or marine biology. 

KAUST will award 3 credits upon successful completion of the course.
