Gili Lankanfushi is an eco-conscious resort in the Maldives seeking an Assistant Marine Biologist who has a keen interest in the environment and a great fascination for the stunning marine life of the Indian Ocean.

The Assistant Marine Biologist will assist with the Coral Lines project; a long term reef rehabilitation project and research study.  You will also guide and accompany the guests on snorkelling and scuba diving trips, provide regular presentations about any issues related to sea and island life and write articles for resort’s Underwater World blog.  You will also assist guests and employees in educational programmes, biological consultancy and nature conservation projects.

*ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS*

-Bachelors degree in Marine Biology (or any related degree)
-Knowledge of coral reef and island ecology, experimental design and statistical analysis
-PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
-Excellent level of English  with an ability to write clearly and concisely
-Excellent communication and guests contact skills
-Computer literacy in MS Office, Minitab, SPSS and internet navigational skills
-Underwater photography skills an advantage
