Dear Coral Listers,

I would like to draw your attention to the ‘Inspire Australia Research’ competition for which I have recently submitted a 3 minute video of a research idea (examining viruses that target Crown-of-thorns starfish on the GBR) I would like to attract funding for.
Please see the link below:

https://www.thinkable.org/submission/3086

The success of each entry relies initially on public votes, until the end of July when a panel of judges then step in to give their votes (please see further details below).
VOTING involves simply clicking on an online button and costs nothing and can be done by anyone anywhere on the planet!

If you are interested in finding out more about my research idea, please take the time to watch the 2min 50 second video.
If you are happy to support it I would be hugely appreciative of your vote and the opportunity to spread the word further in the coral world and wider scientific community!

DETAILS: Voting and winners? Based on the current prize pool, the top 10 entries will be awarded funding proportional to their overall score that takes into account 50% based on public votes and 50% from the judges votes.
When to vote? Anyone will be able to vote during the voting period that lasts up until 10am AEST, August 1 (midnight July 31, GMT).

Thank you for your time in reading this message!
Best wishes,

Karen Weynberg
