> Sorry to have not sent this earlier! The NOAA Coral Reef Conservation Program“ will host a web and social media campaign titled Climate, Reefs, and Resilience: Locally-based strategies to address a global issue. Follow us online, on Facebook, and Twitter all week to learn more about climate, reefs, resilience, and how healthy reefs support healthy coasts. Look for #NOAAHealthyReefs. (May 11-15, 2015)
> Description: From coral bleaching to reduced coral growth, climate change and ocean acidification are the most pressing threats to coral reefs around the globe. Managers, scientists and communities are working at a local scale to give their coral reefs a fighting chance in the face of a changing climate. This campaign will highlight what people are doing on the ground and in the water to address local stressors on coral reefs in hopes of making reefs more resilient to the impacts of climate change.
