NSF-funded research coordination network, EarthCube RCN: *Coral Reef 
Science and Cyberinfrastructure Network* (CReSCyNT).  The CReSCyNT 
program is developing a dynamic, durable, and creative community of 
coral reef researchers, ocean scientists, cyberinfrastructure 
specialists, and computer scientists that identify needs, best 
practices, bottlenecks, and approaches to advance the design and 
development of data management, visualization, and image processing 
capacity for the coral reef science community.

CRESCYNT PROGRAM SPECIALIST**– ID# **15311**.*Hawaii Institute of Marine 
Biology. Regular, Full-Time, RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the 
School of Ocean, Earth Science, and Technology (SOEST), Hawaii Institute 
of Marine Biology (HIMB), located at Coconut Island in 
Kaneohe.Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational 
needs, satisfactory work performance, availability of funds, and 
compliance with applicable Federal/State laws.*MINIMUM MONTHLY 
SALARY:*$2,705/Mon.*DUTIES: *Coordinates and implements the daily 
program activities of the National Science Foundation (NSF), Earthcube 
Research Coordination Networks (RCN): Coral Reef Science & 
Cyberinfrastructure Network (CReSCyNT) at the HIMB, University of Hawaii 
(UH).Assists in the development of and oversees the day-to-day operation 
of the research network by coordinating and communicating with local 
(Hawaii-based) and remote project participants.Schedules in-person and 
virtual meetings and workshops;**develops communication materials that 
summarize needs, activities and outcomes; provides support to network 
participants; assists in the development of partnerships;**participates 
in national NSF Earthcube network activities; and assists with the 
development of project reports and products.*PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS: 
EDUCATION/TRAINING: *Master’s Degree from an accredited college or 
university in Marine Sciences, Environmental Studies, Science Education, 
Science Communication, Business Administration, or a related field. 
(Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or 
university in Marine Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Science 
Education, Science Communication, Business Administration, or a related 
field, and at least two (2) additional years of experience in project 
coordination or science communication and outreach programs may 
substitute.)*EXPERIENCE:* One to three (1-3) years of experience in 
project management.*ABIL/KNOW/SKILLS:* Knowledge of basic marine science 
and project management workflows.Familiarity with data management and 
cyberinfrastructure.Demonstrated ability to organize and schedule daily 
program activities and simultaneously plan for and manage multiple 
events and communications.Demonstrated ability to write clearly and 
efficiently.Demonstrated ability to organize and catalogue 
information.Ability to conduct iterative tasks to completion.Ability to 
independently address and solve problems.Ability to develop program 
materials including announcements, web content, group emails, and 
reporting documents.Ability to translate program activities to the
