Dear Coral-Listers,

The latest edition of *REEF ENCOUNTER* (the news journal of the
International Society for Reef Studies) is now available for downloading
on the home page of the Society's website: *www.coralreefs.org*

This issue is packed with interesting articles and short papers with a
focus on coral bleaching and climate change. There are other articles on
hidden genetic diversity on sub-tropical reefs (by a past holder of the
Society's graduate fellowship), crinoids, seahorses and the best choice
of underwater digital camera.

REEF ENCOUNTER is free to members and non-members alike, though priority
is given to members when accepting articles or items for publication.

If you are not already a member, please consider (re)joining. This can
be done on-line using a debit or credit card by going to the society's
membership page.

Besides a discount on registering for ICRS13 in Hawaii next year or
other society supported conferences, members have free on-line access
via the website to all current and past issues of the Society's academic
journal CORAL REEFS.

With thanks for your consideration,

Rupert Ormond
