Dear Coral liters,

Our article in PeerJ was just published: Growing coral larger and
faster: micro-colony-fusion as a strategy for accelerating coral cover

With coral bleaching and degradation happening all around us at an
unprecedented level, my hope is that through cultivation we can learn
something more about coral resilience, and develop tools for more
action. By coaxing corals to grow over a 2D surface, we show growth rates
of tens of square centimeters per month. Hopefully this method will be
useful for aquaculture, restoration, and for lab work.
