Greetings,

I wanted to apprise you of an opportunity for employment at our
Laboratory. Here is the link, and a snippet of information. Do not
apply to me, rather through this link:

    http://um.hodesiq.com/job_detail.asp?JobID=5243499&user_id=&ViewAll=

The Cooperative Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Studies (CIMAS)
at the University of Miami (UM), Rosenstiel School of Marine and
Atmospheric Science (RSMAS) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric
    Administration’s (NOAA) Atlantic Oceanographic Meteorological
Laboratory (AOML) invite applications for a Postdoctoral Associate
to participate in a multi-institutional integrated ecosystem
assessment project designed to inform ecosystem based management in
the Gulf of Mexico. This project will involve the integration of
marine ecosystem indicators with human dimensions to examine the
impact of management on the production of ecosystem services and the
testing of alternative management and climate scenarios.

    *Qualifications*:

    • Must have a Ph.D. in marine ecology, systems ecology, marine
resource economics, marine sociology, marine anthropology, or a
    related field.
    • The successful candidate should have experience with integrated
ecosystem assessments, indicator development, coastal marine
ecology, risk assessments, and management strategy evaluations, as
well as with the synthesis and analysis of human dimensions and
    biophysical data.
    • A strong publication record, strong computer skills, the ability
to work with large amounts of data, and familiarity with
    interdisciplinary ecosystem analysis are required.

Other jobs with NOAA are occasionally announced on USAJobs, though
not always in marine science (in fact, there's a position open now at
our Laboratory):

    I hope this helps!

           Jim
