Dear Coral-listers,

Every year the Society offers a number of awards and honors to
acknowledge the achievements (in reef science or reef conservation) of
its members. Some of these awards are only available to members under
the AGE OF 35.

One of these awards is the "Young Scientist Award". Another is the
"World Reef Award" which is reserved for a member from a minority group
or developing country.

If you are a member in this age group, or you know of a friend or
colleague who is, and you or they have published a series of quality
scientific reports or secured significant conservation measures in a
coral reef country, please consider getting them or yourself nominated
(perhaps as a suitable seasonal gesture?) for one of these awards.

Details of the awards and of the nomination process can be found on the
Society's awards page at
http://coralreefs.org/society-awards.../awards-fellowships/
<http://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fcoralreefs.org%2Fsociety-awards-and-grants%2Fawards-fellowships%2F&h=fAQH_CrvD>.

The CLOSING DATE for nominations for the 2017 awards is JANUARY 15TH 2017.

With thanks for your attention!

Prof. Rupert Ormond, ISRS Corresponding Secretary
(Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland, UK)
