Naval Facilities Engineering Command Pacific in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii has an opening for Marine Natural Resources Management Specialist. This position is a chance to be a key member in a team that is working on a large Environmental Impact Statement and associated environmental compliance documents for a major Department of Defense action in the Mariana Islands. The project is very challenging, but it has high visibility and will likely be a landmark action for the US Government in the Pacific. The position is a permanent GS-12 position with the Department of the Navy. It is not an entry level position. The incumbent will need to have a working knowledge of the National Environmental Policy Act and interagency consultations for:
- Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act
- Essential Fish Habitat under the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act
