Hi,
My name is Samantha and I am a rising senior in college currently participating at an REU at the central Caribbean marine institute on little Cayman island. I have been searching for a few weeks now for an article detailing the bleaching habits of Siderastrea siderea and why they exhibit fluorescence when they do bleach and have had no luck so far. I hope that by sending this email to the coral list I will be able to find what I am looking for. Below is the email I wish to be sent out. Thank you!

Dear coral list,
I am writing to inquire about any known publications about the bleaching process of Siderastrea siderea. I have not been able to find any explanation as to why they express fluorescence when they bleach, although I have found information about why other coral species exhibit similar reactions to stress (Fine and Loya 2002). If you have any information, it would be much appreciated if you could send it my way. Thank you for your time.
