Good point Mark,
We have a long way to go in building political will. Here in the U.S. we have to face the fact that the issues many of us prioritize are not yet broadly embraced. It's somewhat disheartening to consider, but even with coral reefs (and other ecosystems) in steep decline, the environment appears to remain a rather low priority among American voters.
