Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego reminds interested applicants of the January 18, 2017 application deadline for the Master of Advanced Studies in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation<https://scripps.ucsd.edu/masters/mas/mbc> (MAS MBC) program. Now in its 13th year, the program has nearly 200 marine conservation alumni working in influential organizations worldwide, including NGOs, government agencies, industry, academia, consulting, or pursuing a PhD.
The MAS MBC program equips students with the knowledge they need to improve conservation of marine biodiversity in the world's most diverse and threatened eco-regions. An innovative program curriculum focuses on interdisciplinary approaches and science-based management tools.
This 12-month intensive master's program is geared toward early- to mid-career professionals interested in marine conservation careers.
The multidisciplinary program will begin in July 10, 2017 and includes courses in natural, social, and information sciences; marine policy, economics, and law; and training in important cultural and communications skills.
