[Coral-List] Topic: Intern position studying tropical coral growth and physiology, Western Australia (Claire Ross)

Dear Coral-list,

We have an intern position available at the Indian Ocean Marine Research
Facility in Perth. The internship involves studying the influence of
changing environmental conditions on tropical corals and is available from
June 2017 onwards. The duration of the internship is a minimum of 2 months
with the option to stay for 3–6 months. Applicants with a background and/or
interest in marine science are preferred.
The internship will involve:
– Assisting with maintenance of coral aquaria experiments
– Assisting in measuring coral growth and physiology
– Conducting seawater measurements
– Data processing (if desired)
– Possible opportunities for fieldwork

All training is provided and the internship will involve working in a fun
and professional environment alongside other interns, students, and
internationally recognised researchers from Prof Malcolm McCulloch's
research group (University of Western Australia). The internship is unpaid.
