Jim,
Thanks for reminding us of Aldo Leopold. I hope those on the list that  
did not had a chance yet to read his "A Sad County Almanac" (1949) get  
a copy and read it. His ideas in chapters on 'The land Ethic' and  
'Wilderness' are timeless.
