Charles Sheppard was editor of Marine Pollution Bulletin for 20 years.
He is also the leading expert on the coral reefs of the Chagos Archipelago
in the Indian Ocean, a large group of remote atolls. He's now moved on to
edit Advances in Marine Biology. Meanwhile, the new editors in chief of
Marine Pollution Bulletin, Pat Hutchings, Francois Galgani, and Victor
Quintino have organized a special issue in honor of Charles, containing 20
papers on coral reefs. It is brand new, just out.
