------------------------------ ---------------------Greetings, I'm sharing a bilingual map-based questionnaire for users of coral reefs around Flamenco Beach in Culebra, Puerto Rico. Culebra is home to a historically marginalized community which stewards federally critical habitats, currently experiencing an increase in touristic and hurricane-related pressures. This study seeks to characterize the human perceptions of the ecosystem's health, as well as the roles and attitudes of both residents and tourists in regards to environmental variables. The goal is to insert this public knowledge into a biophysical analysis of these vulnerable ecosystems and foment their resilience to local and global stressors through local conservation strategies. Through a participatory geographic lens, this questionnaire strives to validate coastal management necessities by taking into account the perspective of those whose enjoy this exceptional natural space. If you have visited Flamenco Beach, please take 15 minutes to complete it, o share the link with interested colleagues!Thank you for supporting the conservation of our natural heritage, Puerto Rican science, and sustainable development of Culebra Island!Atte. Nicolás Gómez AndújarEnvironmental Scientist, B.Sc.
