*Dear Coral-ListThe Udayana University in Bali is now accepting
applications for the “Tropical Biology and Marine Conservation” semester
program (With 2 compulsory and 7 elective courses) and for summer courses
in Sustainable Tourism, Coral Reef Restoration and Mangrove
Ecology.International students will have a practical experience in Bali, in
which gained knowledge is being put into practice in numerous excursions
and field studies. This field trips are designed to immerse the student
into the unique Balinese culture and research in remote communities. These
programs are open to University students, divers and any person interested
in get a deeper knowledge about conservation in the tropics.  In case of
students, is possible to make credit transfer of max. 30 ECTS. The courses
are held in English partly by local professors and by national and
international guest lecturers. There is a limited amount of spots.The
course structure of the ‘Tropical Biology & Marine Conservation’ semester
is divided into: compulsory courses (Student Project , Bahasa Indonesia)
 and elective courses (Tropical Marine Ecology,  Biodiversity Conservation
& Ecotourism, Marine Pollution, Ichthyology,  Microbiology and Fish
Disease, Tropical Horticulture , Ethnobiology). The student can choose 4
different courses out of the 7 elective courses offered.Regard the summer
courses, each one includes excursions and/or field trips around Bali:
-Sustainable Tourism: Various field trips to Kokokan Village, Botanical
Garden, the Mangroves in Benoa, green hotels etc.-Coral Reef: 1 week
excursion to Coral Reef Restoration Institution in North Bali (incl.
equipment, diving, coral finding and monitoring workshop)-Mangrove Ecology:
1 week excursion to Nusa Penida (incl. equipment, snorkeling, mangrove

The deadlines for applications are April 18, 2018 for summer courses and
July 15, 2018 for the semester abroad program.  Applicants will be notified
of their acceptance.Fees: The semester abroad program fee is 2950 Euro. The
summer courses fees are 1990 Euro for Sustainable Tourism and 2450 Euro for
Coral Reef Restoration and Mangrove Ecology. This fee includes the full
tuition, credit transfer assistance, excursions and field trips, airport
pick up, visa assistance, and so on. For the summer courses is also
included the accommodation during the whole course with breakfast every day
and some meals. A more detailed list of what is covered can be found on our
