Reef Relief would like share our Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 Internship

*Stormwater Education Intern (Spring and Fall semester internships)*

*Accepting for fall 2018 and spring 2019.*

*January-April or September-December **(exact start and end dates are
flexible)*

Interns selected will help to organize and staff community volunteer
opportunities related to Reef Relief’s Stormwater Education Program..

*The Stormwater Education Program internship duties includes four main
components:*

-Recruiting and organizing volunteers

-Distributing stormwater education door hangers to Key West residents

-Stenciling awareness messages around local storm drains

-Organizing and leading marine debris removal projects (both land and water
based)

*You will also be familiar with the following areas:*

-Fieldwork for the Key West Marine Park

-Operation of Reef Relief’s environmental center

*Qualifications*

Successful applicants will have a strong background in marine/environmental
science and conservation.

Interns selected will help to organize and staff events, promote Reef
Relief and its programs, present classroom lessons on marine science and
work on marine field projects as needed.  This internship is a great
opportunity to gain hands on experience in marine education and
conservation as well as marketing and event planning.

You will become familiar with the following areas:

•                Environmental education for children and adults

•                Operation of Reef Relief’s environmental center

•                Field work in marine conservation

•                Planning, organizing special events, marketing, fundraising

*Qualifications*

Applicants must have a degree in marine science or education or be actively
seeking one. SCUBA certification is preferred.
