[Coral-List] Why do so many people care so little

Great point. It is urgent to identify "who are those people who are
supporting the wrong decisions that destroy, degrade, pollute or dredge
coral reefs". It Is not a personal attack, but a personal deffense to
improve Coral Reef conservation effectiveness.

Some confidential contractors and officers who are well-educated people,
have become deniers of local negative impacts as they are hire to support
unsustainable development to scale up their funding sources. They feel
aggresive and guilty so their argument in synthesis is that "global climate
change will kill coral reefs anyway sonner or later, so let us allow the
destruction NOW with megaprojects...meanwhile scale up the colonies
fragmentation of a couple of climate change vulnerable coral species to
speed the process..."

A hope is that the majority of scientists do acknowledge the failure of
promising to save coral reefs without tackling the local and global causes.
Let us join us in a stronger community based on the specific local facts.

Good to know that coral reef young scientists want to break the inactive
pattern and they also propose stopping the local and global causes
deteriorating the valuable ecosystem. They are the near future leaders; let
us start to listen them !!

Happy Earth Day /Month / Year
