[Coral-List] new book with lots of photos showing what the Caribbean was like

Like many on this list, I dove the Keys from 1972- 1977, and did one dive
in 1992 off of Islamorada, big difference even then by 1992. I dove Bonaire
in 1976 and Curacao in 2013 for the first time. I am sure there have been
changes between the two since then. Back in 1976 they said that the reefs
and viz on the north part of Bonaire were not as pristine due the
construction of an oil refinery in that area a few years prior to that, and
the dredging to build a new pier in Kralendijk impacted some of the down
current reefs in the south. The windward reefs were still pristine but I am
sure to anyone who dove there in the early 60s it would look impacted ...
shifting baselines as work even back then.
