[Coral-List] Internship Opportunity: Assessing Fisheries Species Resilience

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join Dr. Ron Baker’s
lab based at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab (www.disl.edu). This will be a
6-month, full-time internship with a possibility of extension based on
performance. Preferred start date is *August 7th, 2023* but can be flexible
for the right candidate. Salary is $12.50/hr.

This position is funded through a NOAA RESTORE project examining the
resilience of oysters, blue crabs, and spotted seatrout to environmental
variability in the northern Gulf of Mexico. Primary responsibilities will
involve assisting in the set-up, maintenance, and execution of laboratory
mesocosm studies testing the physiological tolerances of fisheries species
to multiple environmental stressors, and participating in drop sampling
field surveys to explore variation in marsh edge value as nekton habitat.

Recent graduates (<2 years post-undergraduate science degree) with animal
husbandry and/or field experience are preferred. This internship is
available to U.S. citizens and residents only. Interested applicants should
