The upcoming 7th International Marine Conservation Congress (October
13-18th in Cape Town, South Africa) is one of the world's largest
interdisciplinary ocean conservation science and practice conferences.

If you'd like to lead a workshop or focus group, or submit an idea for a
symposium, those are due February 9th.

Workshops are meant to teach participants a professional development skill,
and focus groups are meant to gather a team of experts together for a
focused discussion. Both occur before the main IMCC meeting. Symposia are
thematically focused groups of talks about the same general topic that take
place during the main IMCC meeting. Learn more about workshops, focus
groups, and symposia here:
https://scbmarineprogram.org/meetings-imcc7-call-for-proposals/

To submit, please visit this website
https://imis.conbio.org/imis/iCommerce/IMCC_Sign_In.aspx?ssoredirect=https://xcdsystem.com/imcc/api/imis/index.cfm
, where Society for Conservation Biology members can log in, or you can
submit without being an SCB member.

Please share widely with interested colleagues!

I (SCB-Marine Science Officer and IMCC7 Co-Chair) David Shiffman am happy
to answer any questions that anyone has!

Sincerely,

--
