Dr. Meghan Davies, first at Harbor Branch Oceanographic, now at Florida Atlantic University, has pioneered the captive breeding of Queen Conch for restoration and conservation purposes. Over 40 years of work, Dr. Davies and her team have developed collaborations in Florida and the Caribbean.

Very nice photo. Note the eyes. I remember seeing HUGE piles of shells in
the Bahamas many decades ago. Also I read long ago that there were
breeding programs for it. I wonder if they are still in operation?
