Coordinator (Reference #30396)</font></b> </p>
<p><font size="2" face="Arial">Marine Education Coordinator for South
Florida Ecosystem Education Project (SEEP) The position is located in
South Florida, with office locations in Miami and Key Largo) The
overall goal of SEEP is to bring the best available science into the
decision-making processes of South Florida Ecosystem Restoration (SFER)
at the individual, community, and policy levels. The project will
pursue this goal by: raising awareness and understanding of coastal
marine ecosystems, SFER, and the relationship among residents,
businesses, and decision-makers; conveying questions and issues raised
by residents, businesses, and decision-makers to scientist and
providing their replies; fostering sense of ownership of the challenges
facing coastal marine ecosystems in South Florida. The appointee will
work with existing National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
(NOAA) programs and other community outreach programs to leverage
existing resources and obtain new resources to support development and
implementation of a multi-faceted outreach program based on the science
underpinning management of coastal marine ecosystems in South Florida.
This position will play a key role in fostering long-term relationships
among NOAA partners and local communities in South Florida.</font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Arial">Salary Range: $31,692 - 45,000 dependent
on qualifications</font>
</p>
<p><font size="2" face="Arial">Qualifications: Minimum is Master's
degree in appropriate area of specialization (e.g. marine science,
coastal resource management, education); or a bachelor's degree and in
an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate
experience.</font></p>
