coral proxies

            Stan Hart and I are currently working on calibrating 
          various coral-based proxies against instrumental records. 
          Most of these are proxies for water temperature and we're 
          focusing on Porites sp. for now. We're interested to locate 
          other reef sites at which physical parameters such as 
          water temperature have been continuously monitored 
          over the past few years (2-3), especially those which show 
          large amplitude fluctuations of weekly or sub-weekly
