We use drafting film.  It can be purchased from Precision Coatings, 8120
Goldie St., Walled Lake, MI 48390 Fax 800-360-5671/ 800-521-8380.  It can
be printed on to make standardized data sheets.  Wash it off when finished
and file original data sheets for future reference.
