In response to growing threats to coral reefs, 1997 has been declared the 
INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF THE REEF.  Dr. Agardy will discuss the worldwide 
plight of coral reefs and highlight ongoing efforts to avoid catastrophe.  
Dr. Agardy is one of the world's experts on coral reef conservation. Her 
stunning presentation is a must-see for anyone interested in, or working on,
 marine conservation issues.
