Bleaching in Alcyonaceans ?

Hi Goetz

Yes. There is a great deal of soft coral bleaching and associated
mortality here in the GBR. Notably, Sarcophyton, Sinularia and
Lobophytum. There are biologists from James Cook University and
Australian Institute of Marine Science currently surveying the extent of
soft coral bleaching. If you email me privately, I will give you their
email addresses so you can get more detailed information if you would
like.
