Mary Ann's questions bring up an interesting dilemna I think. How does one
go about measuring recruitment fitness for a potential ESA listing when
said organism releases billions of gametes? Was the ESA ever designed to
deal with such a fecund organism or was it more for the "warm and fuzzies"
than the image challenged?
