Marine particles

Hi there!

I am an undergraduate reading Marine Sciences and I am currently working =
on an essay entitled "The Origin and Distribution of Particles in the =
Ocean."  I have researched the topic well and feel I have sufficient =
literature, but I am still having trouble finding information on the =
Wentworth Scale and the actual definition of a (marine) particle.  If =
anyone could help me with this then it would be greatly appreciated. =20
