Hi all,
Our corals didn't do very well this summer. Many (P. meandrina) got
killed by a Cladophora algae bloom.

Of those that did survive several looked "pocked" with purply-brown
blemishes like this example.

In Summer 2000 one of our favourite corals had also showed this condition.

Upon our return in July 2001, it was dead and smothered with algae.
Anyone know what those purply-brown "holes" are?
Thanks,
Ursula Keuper-Bennett
