NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection, in coordination with the
Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission’s Florida Marine Research Institute,
announces a workshop for the development of a southeast Florida coral reef
conservation and management action strategy to which all persons are
invited.

DATE:       September 9, 2003
TIME:       4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
PLACE:      DEP District Office

            West Palm Beach, FL 33401


GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED:

*  Welcome and Introductions
*  Review of U.S. Coral Reef Task Force Priority Focus Areas
*  Review of Southeast Florida Coral Reef Priority Focus Areas
*  Review and comment on second draft of local action strategies for coral
reef conservation and management
*  Development of schedule for follow-up issue-based meetings
*  Adjournment
