[Coral-List] Deadline: Abstract Submission 10ICRS [25 December]

Dear coral-list,

The DEADLINE DATE for the submission of abstracts to 10th International 
Coral Reef Symposium is
25 DECEMBER 2003, only ten days left.

Those who intend to make presentations both by oral or by poster,
please submit your abstract through our web site
http://www.plando.co.jp/icrs2004/ > "Call for Papers" > "Abstract Submission"
NO LATER THAN 25 DECEMBER to the most appropriate mini-symposium
(you can see the list and details at "Mini-Symposium Sessions").

Several important reminders (also shown in the second circular)
for those intending to make presentations (#3 is important).

1) We do not have much time for mini-symposium sessions as we do not prefer 
so many parallel sessions at once.
Mini-symposium conveners have a right to determine oral and poster 
presentations.
We will serve a large (and comfortable) poster room and hope you to utilize 
poster presentations as much as possible.

2) Oral presentation is limited only one for one person all through the 
symposium from the same reason above.
The committee consulting with the conveners will rearrange the program 
draft to follow this restriction.

3) Presentations both orals and posters will be withdrawn if the 
participant is not registered by 31 January 2004.
So after submission of your papers, please go to registration through the web
http://www.plando.co.jp/icrs2004/ > "Registration (Form A)"
NO LATER THAN 31 JANUARY 2004.
This procedure was set to reduce on-site cancellation of presentations.

These policies were determined based on a good deal of comments we had 
gathered: you do not like too many parallel sessions, so many 
cancellations, too long sessions...
Organizing Committee has been preparing the symposium to make it as a 
worthwhile experience for all as much as possible in the condition of 
increasing and diversifying participants and themes.

We all look forward to meeting you at Okinawa and wish the 10ICRS would be 
most fruitful and enjoyable to you all!
