I'm an Associated Press journalist planning a reporting trip that will
take me to the mid-Pacific island nations of Tuvalu and Kiribati, by way
of San Diego and Hawaii.
 
Although my primary interest is the broader subject of climate change, I
intend to do at least one separate piece on coral bleaching, and would
like to ask for specific guidance: Can any list member refer me to a
specialist who has studied the reef situation in Tuvalu or Kiribati, or
more generally in the mid-Pacific? Can you refer me to published
material specific to the reefs in those two countries?
