AICRICCS Administrative Director - ID# 25759. All Islands Coral Reef Initiative Coordinating Committee Secretariat. Regular, Full-Time, RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the All Islands Coral Reef Initiative Coordinating Committee Secretariat, located in Honolulu, Hawaii.  Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, and availability of funds.  Minimum Monthly Salary: $4,154.00.  Duties: Provide administrative, logistical, and policy support for All Islands Coordinating Committee meetings and participation in the US Coral Reef Task Force meetings (USCRTF).  This will normally entail organizing and staffing Committee meetings that precede these USCRTF and/or Steering Committee meetings.   Provide administrative support and policy advice to the chair and vice chair of the All Islands Coordinating Committee.  This will include liaison with Federal agencies, correspondence for the All Islands Committee, and other duties as assigned.  Provide administrative and logistical support for and policy advice on implementation of the All Islands Coral Reef Initiative Plans and the US Coral Reef Task Force implementation plan.  This will include assistance with development of multi-year action strategies for key threat-based focus areas for each All Islands jurisdiction, review of those action strategies by the All Islands Committee, and the consolidation of the jurisdictional action strategies into regional strategies and a national action strategy.  Assist with development and implementation of information and reporting system for the All Islands Coordinating Committee members through development and maintenance of an All Islands Committee web page. Facilitate development of reports of accomplishments, priorities, and proposed activities on an annual and as needed basis. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.  At least three (3) years progressively responsible experience beyond a Bachelor's Degree may substitute for Master's Degree. Experience: At least five (5) years of experience in state, territorial, or federal government in a policy area related to ocean and coastal resource management.  Direct interaction with senior policy makers and congressional staff.  Abil/Know/Skills: Extensive knowledge of the function of policy making in state, territorial, and federal government.  Understanding of coral reef ecosystems and resource management at the state and territorial level.  Understanding of the relationship between federal and state or territorial governments.  Understanding of U.S. island cultures and governance.  Ability to deal effectively with policy makers; to work independently with minimal supervision and be responsive to members of the All Islands Committee; to write position papers and policy briefs effectively; to use word processing and spread sheet programs; to manage and maintain websites; to design public information materials including brochures; to facilitate regional planning activities; to work in a dynamic environment across time zones; to plan programs and develop budgets. Desirable Qualifications: Experience in Pacific regional efforts to manage coastal and ocean resources.  Knowledge of federal programs to support coastal and ocean resource management.
