Reef Check California Marine Ecologist

Reef Check Foundation seeks a mid-level PhD marine ecologist with extensive
underwater monitoring experience in California to lead the development and
implementation of the Reef Check California monitoring program. The program
will begin in Central California and will expand to cover the entire west
coast. This career-making opportunity will allow an experienced field
scientist the opportunity to design the monitoring protocol for what will
become the largest volunteer underwater monitoring program in the US. The
scientist will have detailed taxonomic knowledge of west coast invertebrates
and fish, and experience with monitoring design and implementation,
quantitative data analysis, statistics and data management. The candidate
must be a team player and yet be able to function with minimal supervision.
Salary commensurate with experience. Two-year contract to start, full
