[Coral-List] Damselfish mtDNA extraction buffer

Dear listers,
Looking at different literature sources concerning DNA extraction buffers
for fish, I have noticed that some use NaCl in the mix and some don't. Some
put it overnight while some only few hours. Another thing is the use of
muscle/liver tissues.
My questions are:
1.Is the NaCl necessary?
2.Is the protocol different if I use fin-clips?
3.How long should the fin stay in it?
