The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is pleased to
announce the availability of six (6), two-year assistantships under the
Coral Management Assistantship Program. The program is administered by
the Environmental Careers Organization <http://www.eco.org> (ECO) for
NOAA and applications are being accepted through July 6, 2005.

Background information:
The NOAA Coral Management Fellowship was established to respond to the
need for additional coral reef management capacity and capability in the
U.S. Flag islands. This program matches highly qualified recipients of
bachelor's and master's degrees with hosts from the coral management
programs within the U.S. Flag Pacific and Caribbean Islands. This
two-year opportunity offers a competitive salary, medical benefits, and
travel and relocation expense reimbursement. New fellows are placed
every two years. Hosts for the 2005-2007 NOAA Coral Management
Fellowship include: American Samoa, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana
Islands (CNMI), Guam, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands
coastal and marine resource management agencies.
