*Solicitation for FY 2006 Coral Reef Ecosystem Studies proposals re-opened!*
NOAA's Center for Sponsored Coastal Ocean Research (CSCOR) announces the
re-opening of the solicitation of proposals for the FY 2006 Coral Reef
Ecosystem Studies (CRES) Program. This program was originally solicited
in the Federal Register on June 30, 2005, as part of the June, 2005 NOAA
Omnibus solicitation. The original deadline for receipt of proposals
was 3 p.m., EST, on September 1, 2005. Due to Hurricane Katrina, NOAA
re-opens the solicitation period to provide the public more time to
submit proposals. _The new deadline for the receipt of proposals is 3
p.m., EST, on October 12, 2005, for both electronic and paper
applications._ All other requirements for this solicitation remain the
same. Applications that were submitted between September 1, 2005 and
the date of publication of this notice will be considered timely. To
view this re-opening announcement, please visit the following web link:

Applicants that had already submitted proposals to comply with the
September 1, 2005 deadline are welcomed, but not required, to re-submit
their proposals. _Instructions for new and re-submissions to Grants.gov
under this new announcement will be posted within the next several days
in CSCOR's website (www.cop.noaa.gov)_. In the meantime, instructions
on how to prepare the proposals can still be found under the original
CRES 2006 announcement in the following web link:
