The National Coral Reef Institute (NCRI) is pleased to announce the
availability of Version 3.4 of CPCe (Coral Point Count with Excel
   extensions).
CPCe is a Windows-based program that provides a tool for the
determination of coral cover and diversity using transect photographs
and the random point count method. There are also tools for image
   calibration and area analysis.
New features in V3.4 include the ability to export area analysis files
(.ara) to Excel, ability to designate and subtract internal areas,
ability to batch change calibration values and recalculate traced area
values, and a feature counter option. Plus assorted minor
   improvements and fixes.
Thanks are given to Shaun Gill (NCRI), Joanna Walczak (NCRI) and Dr.
Ed Burkett (Univ. Wisconsin Superior) for providing many valuable
   suggestions and performing extensive debugging.
CPCe is provided free for non-commercial use. More information is
   available at [1]http://www.nova.edu/ocean/cpce/ .
