JOB TITLE:  Program Coordinator

DEPARTMENT:	
VI-EPSCoR (Virgin Islands Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research)

ASSIGNMENT:	
The successful candidate will support the Project Director in the management of VI-EPSCoR activities and budgeting, including infrastructure investments, research, education, and outreach. Candidate will coordinate the various aspects of the VI-EPSCoR program including project planning, monitoring and evaluation, and the preparation and submission of grant proposals, reports, and other related applications to the University and the National Science Foundation. Candidate will assist the Project Director with ensuring that all program requirements are met while expanding the impact of VI-EPSCoR in the Virgin Islands. Candidate will work closely with the VI-EPSCoR staff and University administrative units to ensure the effective and timely functioning of the program’s activities and perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
	Master’s degree in science, engineering, or social science field. Special consideration will be given to candidates with Ph.D.
	Experience in proposal development, obtaining and administering grants, conducting research, and project management is essential;
	Experience working in a university environment and a track record of working effectively in diverse environments;
	Excellent, communication, organizational, time management, and team-building skills;
	Experience working with NSF EPSCoR or an understanding of the VI-EPSCoR program is desirable.

COMPENSATION:	
The salary range for this position is $46,000 to $55,000 for the administrative year, depending upon qualifications and experience. Benefits include two retirement plans and a comprehensive group medical, dental, and life insurance program.
