wow!!  That is a good news...

He fully deserves it!! He has contributed to the expansion, visibility and
application of coral reef scientific knowledge more than most Ph.Ds. ... and
not only in the Fl Keys and the US,  but also in the Caribbean region, where
he is highly respected and regarded as a strong US ally in coral reef
conservation.
