Dear Listers,

To aid in training people that work on Reef Ball Foundation's coral propagation and planting projects we have created a highly detailed 3-d model that showns exactly how
our propagation system works. Anyone doing coral propagation work is welcomed to learn more by exploring this model (even if you are using your own methods). To get a free copy, first download Google Sketch-up (freeware) at www.sketchup.com then hit the second icon to the right called "get model" and search for keyword Reef Ball. (actual file name is coralproptable.skp).

Once you open the model, you will have to learn to navigate but this is pretty simple. Use the Orbit & Pan icons to get started. After you open the model, you might find a better view by deleting the "water" which is a transparent blue skin to give you an idea of what water level the Coral Propagation table is set. The model is demonstrating propagation of Acropora Cervicornis....but the table can be adapted to most hard and soft corals. There is also a detailed scene of planting the corals after propagation.

Thanks,
