The FishBase.org entry for Scorpaenopsis oxycephala does not mention it as
being in the Bahamas:
http://www.fishbase.org/Summary/SpeciesSummary.php?id=5822.

Nor is it mentioned at the BREEF (Bahamas Reef Environment Education
Foundation) web page on invasive species (which is admittedly not very
thorough): http://www.breef.org/InvasiveSpecies/tabid/73/Default.aspx)

Very interesting! It would not surprise me if this is another escapee (or
release) from an aquarium.
