[Coral-List] zooxanthellae symbiosis

Dear coral-listers

I study reef fishes and thus I'm not a coral biologist, so I want to apologize if this question sounds too naive for this list.

I'm particularly interested in know how the strengthen of the dinoflagellate-coral symbiosis varies. If there are generalists algae that interact with many species of corals and if there are specialists zooxanthellae and corals that form unique interactions?

This information will be used in a seminar about marine symbiosis that I have to develop as part of my MSc. in Ecology.
