Hi M. Capone,
These probably might help for Indonesian/Indian Ocean coral ID guide book, a.Corals of Australia and the Indo-Pacific. Australian Institute of Marine Science and CRR Qld Pty Ltd. Townsville, Australia. 1986. by JEN Veron.
b. Coral ID: an electronic key to the zooxanthellate scleractinian corals of the world by JEN Veron(same publisher)
and the last book I can recomend which I found really usefull, but you need to understand Indonesian, because it's written in Indonesian language. It is "Jenis-jenis Karang Yang Sering Dijumpai di Indonesia", by Suharsono. And the publisher is COREMAP-Lipi, 2003.
Cheers,
Ade-Cambridge

Dear Listers,
Does anyone have a good ID guide (powerpoint maybe) for common
Indonesian/Indian Ocean coral species/genus? Could anyone recommend a
good reference?
Thank you so much for your help.
Cheers,
Mark Capone

Announcement:
Starting May 3 2007, NOAA Coral Reef Watch's twice-weekly near-real-time
global coral bleaching monitoring products
(http://coralreefwatch.noaa.gov/satellite) will be updated during the
mornings (U.S. Eastern Time) of every Monday and Thursday. The update
has been released on Tuesday and Saturday mornings in the past. This
change will ensure more users receive and have access to the updated
data in time during work days. The users of Coral Reef Watch's Satellite
Bleaching Alert (SBA) e-mails and Google Earth products do not need to
make any update to the subscription and software settings for this
change to take effect. SBA e-mail recipients should receive updates on
Monday and Thursday starting this week. The users who pull these data
from us automatically will need to change their scripts or programs.
