[Coral-List] coral damage economics

Hi listers:

Marine conservationists in the Marshall Islands are
preparing for the first environmental damage court
case in the RMI, involving intentionally damaged
corals (massive lagoon porites, mostly) during a
planned boat grounding.
Any specific information regarding court-ordered
fines, especially as calculated from m2 of reef
damaged (as was done some time ago in the Florida
Keys)would be most welcome, particularly from the
Pacific.  In other words, how much is a 50 year old
Porites lutea worth?
