[Coral-List] 40 new miscrosatellies for Acropora millepora, transferable to other species

Dear colleagues,

We have recently published a paper that may be of interest to those  
of you working on population genetics and connectivity of corals:

Wang, S., Zhang, L. and Matz, M.V. Microsatellite characterization  
and marker development from public EST and WGS databases in the reef- 
building coral Acropora millepora (Cnidaria, Anthozoa, Scleractinia).

We report 40 novel microsatellite markers for Acropora millepora,  
mined from existing DNA sequence resources (ESTs and WGS sequences in  
the NCBI database). 25 of those are transferrable to Acropora  
hyacinthus, and so there is a good chance that they will apply to  
your favorite Acropora species as well.
