This is a really nice paper and the fact that there will be winners and losers from global change isn't new or surprising. But the mechanism underlying the contrasting effects of acidification this work may reveal is neat. Yet please note, this study did not include tropical corals, so it doesn't contradict work that did or clear the way for the nutty forms of climate engineering being pushed by Steve Levitt and others.
